HJK sign Kaylee Dao

The Oklahoma graduate joins the reigning Finnish champions.

Forward Kaylee Dao (born 1997) has signed with HJK Helsinki. The 23-year-old attacker will get her first taste of football in Europe with HJK, leaving Oklahoma Sooners to head to Finland.

Dao is a versatile forward, who can make an impact in the game. Last season she scored 13 goals for Sooners in a total of 20 games.

– I’m so happy and excited to join HJK. I want to adapt to the Finnish culture and learn more about football in Europe. My goal is to help the team to success and grow as a player!

HJK head coach Jonne Kunnas is pleased with Dao joining the team.

– We observed Kaylee for a long time and I’m happy she is finally here. I’m certain that she will be a good fit for our team, not just as player but also as a person.

HJK is the most successful team in Finnish womens football. The club has 23 Finnish Championships and 17 Cup titles. The club is based in the capital of Finland, Helsinki and are the reigning champions of the National League.
